BrainSlug

What does BrainSlug mean?

BrainSlug is a green one-eyed slug. Chat sticks it on a take that had no thoughts in it, a misread so complete it needs a parasite, or a viewer admitting they are not locked in. The reference is the Futurama brain slug: something else is driving. It is an insult you can also aim at yourself.

Origin

Drawn global, one eye, little antennae. It has been in the default set for years beside SMOrc, the other 'no thoughts' creature. SMOrc is aggressive and empty. BrainSlug is just empty.

When to use BrainSlug

• A terrible read, a thrown round, or a plan that was never a plan
• Admitting you are tired and playing on autopilot
• When SMOrc is too mean and you only mean 'brain off'
• A chat meme that has gone on long enough to infect everyone

FAQ

What does BrainSlug mean?

No thoughts. A slug is driving. The take, or the player, is smooth-brained.

BrainSlug vs SMOrc?

SMOrc is mindless aggression, the orc face. BrainSlug is just the missing brain.

Is it a Futurama reference?

Yes. The joke is the brain slug. The drawing is Twitch's green one-eyed version.
