ClapHands

What does ClapHands mean?

ClapHands is a pair of hands clapping, and the global is animated. Chat uses it for a real achievement, a speech, a mod who just handled something, or a slow clap when the achievement is questionable. It is the polite version of a pog. You can mean it. You can also mean it too much.

Origin

Twitch added the clapping hands as an animated global, in the same bucket as DinoDance and GoatEmotey. Applause did not need a face. The hands were enough.

When to use ClapHands

• A clear win, a finished project, or a good answer
• Thanking a mod, a raider, or a chatter who fixed something
• A slow clap for a dubious 'win'
• When PogChamp is too loud and you still want to acknowledge it
