FrankerZ

What does FrankerZ mean?

FrankerZ is a dog's face, used for sarcasm, a silly bit, or a raid that has given up on language. It is less dry than Kappa and less of a laugh than LUL. If the sentence is a joke wearing a straight face, the dog is the punctuation. Actual dogs on cam also qualify. The emote has never been picky.

Origin

The photo is Frankie, the dog of Twitch staffer Ernest Le. Le would put on a 'Frankerz' voice on stream, and a staffer turned the dog into a global in 2012. Frankie died in 2018. The FrankerFaceZ extension is named after this emote. FrankerZ itself is not an FFZ emote. It is official, and it renders with no extension. RalpherZ is the other classic dog.

When to use FrankerZ

• Sarcasm that wants to be friendlier than Kappa
• A dog on stream, no further justification
• Old-school raid spam
• Next to RalpherZ when chat is collecting dogs
